this years lady eagles have been fighting for a win everytime they step onto their court. As a team, they have only gotten stronger. Compared to a few years ago when they couldnt even win one game, it looks like they're on their way back up the scoreboard. Senior captain Lauren Cloutier says, " right now we are 2-3 which is a lot better than last year. we have the same improved ability after losing only one senior last year. We are hoping to win eight games to get into the state tournament." This year, not only is their record showing strength and working together but their ability to bond with eachother and act like a team. Junior Varsity player Carrie Polomsky adds, "it's really fun to be on the team because everyones supportive of eachother and the captains were really welcoming to the new freshman." Being part of a team includes all skills on and off the court. Coach O'Brien mentions, "individual skills have improved a lot; were playing more as a team and we are more confident as well. practicing in the off season helped a lot too." With all the players coming together it looks like the lady eagles are off to a great start not even halfway through the season. |
